6th Grade Teacher

Hi, my name is Kayla.   I have worked at Nay Ah Shing since 2014 and have had many positions.  I started as a teaching assistant then became a paraprofessional.  After working for the DNR at Kathio, I decided to go back to school to become a science teacher.  I taught science for a year and have now been teaching 6th grade for four years.

I love working with our students and getting to know who they are as individuals.  We have a lot of fun participating in cultural activities, celebrating holidays, and playing kickball.  The students help me stay current with all the new trends, new movies, anime, Youtube channels and slang.  

I live in outside of Garrison with my husband, our dog Stella and our cat Kiki.  We enjoy spending a lot of time outside and hangout with friends and family.
